How to cut down as much as 300 calories from your food.

I love fried plantain ( a.k.a dodo) and I eat it a lot. But I know that all that oil isn’t good at all as a tablespoon of oil is 120 calories.

So every once in a while, I bake my dodo.


Cut your plantain as you normally would, and spray with oil. Line on a grilling rack. spray a piece of foil and cover the plantain (to retain some of its moisture. Bake at high heat for 10 minutes, then remove the foil, bake further until light to medium brown. Turn the side and bake till the other side is well done too.
