How not to lose weight

Please beware of dangerous diets.

There’s a bad way to lose weight. A sustainable and healthy lifestyle is the best.
As I type this, I am amused, petrified and livid all at the same time. A young client of mine who was one of the pioneer members of @mf8hub but had to stop coming because of distance, came back today and shared a scary story with me. When she came here she was about 86kg if I remember correctly when she stopped coming, she was 74kg. After a while she met an online weight loss coach who gave her a diet plan that almost cost her life!

How on earth can an adult female in her 20s survive with N50 watermelon breakfast, cucumber, carrot and cabbage lunch, and the worst part the juice of one orange plus effirin (African mint leaves) juice for dinner???? How????? She landed in the hospital severely anaemic, all her veins had collapsed and had to ingest drip.

Please I beg you, it’s better to be big and alive than thin and dead.
According to her she lost a lot of weight rapidly but since she stopped, she is back to the 74kg she left here with.
So the told her that she has an international certification, I do not contest that but I’m sure no training institute will teach a coach to give clients the juice of one orange and effirin only for dinner, I know this because I have taken more than 5 international courses on fitness, nutrition, human diet, well being, weight loss and all of them stress the need for hea;thy living and balanced diet.

Please while trying to lose weight, be alert. Your meals should contain ALL classes of food in the right proportions. When you try to cheat your body by starving it, it will revolt and often times the damage is gradual and long lasting.

A healthy weight loss regimen should include a healthy diet, exercise, rest and stress management and most importantly, time.

Give your body time to adapt to the changes going on, don’t be lured into these”magic portions” by the seemingly fast success. Be more conscious of your overall health and well being.
